If you look even remotely close to your early 20', carry an ID. You just may get carded to get a drink. If you get carded & don't have an ID, move on. Don't throw a fit. Bring that ID or expect to be refused a drink at many fine playa establishments.

Don't try to gift the bartender cheap mass-produced schwag. They have plenty, trust me. Treat them well- their not your "server", they're fellow Burners serving 80 proof love.[/quote]

I got away underage via catch 22 my first and 2nd year, sorry, nobody asked, but they should be now. I'll be carrying that ID. and I was once tending a small bar, best 2 gifts given to the bar was a bottle of imported absinthe, and raspberry schnapps. whoever those two random people who gifted alcohol to random bar camps, I envy thee.

YES.

Learn the layout system, and get that one thing to help at night. I don't know what I'd have done without Spanky's.
Be very careful not to make a parked mutant vehicle your landmark!

Ha ha, well, unless the art car is with your camp and all the people you're hanging out with!

A friend of mine did once follow a laser for an hour or so before realizing she couldn't get any closer to it 'cause it was moving. :D

Here's a good tip for Newbs: use baby wipes in a re-sealing container (zip-lock style) press the air out & make sure it's truly sealed when you're done. Pop-up wipes dry out faster, even when the lid is down. (Not like you couldn't attempt to rehydrate your wipes, especially from a spigot/bottle that hasn't had a mouth on it.)

I've had success with the press-to-close ziplock closure on the giant fragrance-free Huggies, but I might repackage mine in a 1.25 gallon slider ziploc bag (or two) this year. A slider closure is easier to be sure of.
