Italian cheese and parsley sausage smothered in peppers and onions on a whole wheat roll, home fries, steamed broccoli* and arugula* salad. A glass of water before and one with.
For dessert I'm feeling like pistachio ice cream (cold and nutty) and hoping I don't look like it.

Bacon, lettuce and wonderfully ripe pearl tomatoes on whole grain bread with mayo, sea salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Oh, man. It was so good.

I've moved this to "Open Forum" since it's been pointed out that it's more about off-playa food than on-playa.
That said, I'm now hunting up recipes for these fresh chanterelles I picked up at the farmers market this morning...

For now, 2 small tortillas warmed on the stove with butter.

How about breakfast: wild mushroom (chanterelle & crimini) with spring onion and heirloom cherry tomato omelets .
I love the Farmers Market in fall (though I still have no idea why "spring onions" are out now).

Veggie chili from the crockpot tonight! Most of it is frozen for a camping trip this weekend where I'm sure it'll taste a lot better because it ALWAYS does!

Eric, you must live "Out West", as those onions were shipped from us here, "Out East". It is spring here in the East right now.

Re: What's for dinner?
That's why I wait till they go out of town. They won't miss the veggies from the green house.
And the Elk.... well, it was bound to happen. I hit it with my truck last week, so we finished it off and
prepped it and put it in the freezer. I keep what I kill. But, shhhhhhhh!!
And technically it was in my driveway, so it was mine to start with.

We had french toast for breakfast, was yummy yummy.
For supper we indulged in cream cheese filled jalapenos wrapped in bacon, then grilled.
Not the healthiest of food days, but man oh man was it good.
