That'd be too restrictive. You should just use it for whomever you don't favor at the time.

interesting, I had a totally different take on it: I'd think the "virgin" moniker and identification, would allow that we'd be more gentle, knowing they may not know how it all works, we'd be open and instructive, patient and kind.

In Cascadia....
I can walk into any grocery store and buy a box of cannabis cookies. They are right next to the beer and the brandy, where they belong.

a national anthem?

"Oh........I'm Cascadian and I'm O K,
I live in the best place,
to work and play

chorus: "you're Cascadian and you're ok,
you lives in da best place to work and play"

I mows my grass
I picks up moop,
I goes to the herbary

Get off my lawn
Patchouli man
off with you hip pie

chorus:

I smoke my smoke
and drink my drink
come sit and laugh with me

The sun goes up,
the sun goes down,
I live here with my friends.

Long life to Cascadia,
there'll be no bit-ter end.

chorus:

I stand and hail Cascadia
Salute the Northern lights,
we have no football stadia
nor evil bugs that bites.

So..........Hail, hail Cas-ca-di-a
my life......my love......my hoooooooooooommmmmmmeeeeeeeee

Oh this is just for Cascadia functioning as a dystopia. In my ideal world a Burgin is just someone who gets to enjoy the event with new eyes, but not to be treated differently -- except maybe to ring the bell.

i'll agree with that too.

with an aside....

a new student does not enter the dojo and instantly challenge the master, unless they are a schmuck or a fool or looking for a beat down.

respect for all, take shit from no one, and mind your P's and Q's, especially if you are speaking from conjecture and not from experience.

seriously.

being a newb also does not exempt you from getting bitch slapped for doing something even a two by four can figure out is stupid.

I'm liking the idea of Cascadia, and Yggy, the song you wrote brought tears to my eyes...it's beautiful! So, I'd like too have the coffee shop/bakery as my own. Possible?

well yeah, Eric........thing is, just "off my lawn", there will undoubtedly be "rainbow neighborhoods", so all can co exist in peace and harmony (cues McCartney and Wonder).

and Patsh:
Cascadia, far predates this thread, and as far as I know, was based on the territory of the Cascade range. It can be argued as far south (^Rhino?) as about Marysville.
But, you know if I have a place, so do you!!

It needs to extend down as far as Empire.

Since we already took it over, it can be the Capital! 8)

Well, hey! After all the hippies move to AZ, I can just move to Kelowna BC, where I just happen to have another sister, known on ePlaya as Neata, who burned with us in 2011!! Kelowna is clearly within Cascadia's borders!

I'll have to start yet another hippie movement there... dang, does it never end?

Of course, it may be too cold there so I might just have to have a word or two with you, Yggy... 8)

ygmir wrote:*stumbles in door*

I see in Cascadia, a very good start. We have Britzbitz, a seasoned event organizer, poster (D.A.) inhabitant, and super nice, and Elliot, known Nice Guy, ingenious inventor and all around good at spelling and grammar.

I have this dream:

Between them, I see the formation of a society free of angst and petty squabbles. I see cartoons flowing freely, without bias or inhibition.
I see also, The Marx Brothers, 3 Stooges, Abbott and Costello and Our Gang, as roll models for social interaction and tolerance.
I see corner fountains, flowing grape flavor aid, freely and unpolluted.
I see a park, where Foghorn Leghorn, Heckle and Jeckyl, Super Chicken and "Killer, the Vulture", can hold hands and dance in circles, without threat from Sylvester.
I see streets where the speed limit signs just say "safe", and because we care, it works.
I see Jots on corners, clean and blue, without gender signs, because, really we all fart..........
I see grocery stores, with bacon and pickle isles.
I see signs, that say "drink some water"
I see our internal police, patterned after the Keystone Cops
I see border patrols, just like Perimeter on the playa, staffed with highly intelligent, good looking, witty patrol folks.
I see our border crossings, manned by giggling naked greeters, handing out informative papers, and subjecting new residents to a challenging gauntlet of hugs, dust angels and bell ringing. This also serving to dissuade any marauding bands of ner do wells, knowing they'd have to interact with our greeters, en masse.
I see free flowing absinthe fountains in parks, and hemp hedges, where there is never a need for grooming.

This, is the beginning of my dream. Please add as you feel moved.................

R.S.: Ygmir
::swoon:: Just perfect.

I see festivals and celebrations a plenty.
I see National holidays like, "Super Hero Day".
I see reasonable drug policy, and harm reduction.
I see open community spaces in every neighborhood.
I see neighborhoods full of art, where blank spaces used to be.
I see sexy beach parties... so many sexy beach parties.

We can't just take a triangle of the Yukon Territory and a tiny corner of Alaska. We must have ALL OF THEM, GADDAMIT! While we're at it, Hawaii might as well join the party.

Kelowna is most certainly within bounds.

My grandparents lived there for 25 years of my life. It's hella warm there. Desert country. They don't get hardly any snow in the winter, nor does it get very cold. 50s-ish.
