Ha! I just had a conversation with my mother yesterday about toxoplasmosis gondii and its very interesting life cycle. Real life mind control. Interesting side note, there have been studies showing a possible link between toxoplasmosis and depression/schizophrenia/and BiPolar Disorder in infected humans. There is also anecdotal evidence suggesting that toxoplasmosis infections could be linked to some cases of cat hoarding.

Not a fun light hearted post. Sorry. Have to say it here so I don't blow up elsewhere.

And some days you want to rage and scream. Down side of seeing your moms social media. She's not the same woman who raised me. Therapy has helped her. As did removing her raging hormone making parts. However, she is the woman who raised me. So when I see her saying heck yes to a post about should you and did you "spank" your kids I want to scream, rage, pull her hair out, slam her against a wall or two, blacken her eyes, break her nose. You know, like those spanking I got.

Thank you guys, just had a moment. Nothing some good Ken snuggles, love from friends, knitting and painting can't cure.

Now when I talk about how worried I am about concussion syndrome you know whereof I speak. One of those time will tell things.

Me: are you ok? What's wrong.
C: I'm sick. I've been throwing up all day and I have a fever.

Soooooooooo, yep. Today is my turn.
I hope you're feeling better today.

I swear ta God . . . . just like those rats who are infected with certain parasites that have evolved to make their hosts become unafraid of cats (because then the cats catch the rats and become infected) . . . . just like them are human beings serving the whims of highly evolved colds. 'Cause it seems that the moment folks feel like they're coming down with something, the flame of sociableness burns hottest.

(I'm sick too, courtesy of someone who came to an Ugly Sweater Party I was attending. They were overheard yammering about their cold in the next room!)

A generational divide. Oh, a lot of people still do, but I think that there's been quite a shift.
