Wow! 3 pages in our little gerlach web cam topic? Seems like a lot of chatter for a camera that rarely changes, but ... wait ... I just saw 2, count em, 2 pickup driving through Gerlach heading towards the playa, and if you watch carefully, you might see the early arrivers for our camp driving our 24' Enterprise rent-a-truck through town on Thursday noonish time frame!
Pretty soon our sleepy little town is going to become a major desert metropolis!

After effects will do it as well, and you can choose how to export the movie (quicktime, gif, etc)...Does anyone know of a good time-lapse compiling program? I grabbed about 90 shots of the sunrise this morning as the webcam went from black to morning sun. I'd like to think there is something easier to use than photoshop.
message me privately if you want some help making it into a movie? I have the program and would be happy to dump the images in and export the movie (it's really easy)

It is pretty fun to watch (while doing work of course) people drive by with there cars loaded and such. Really gets the blood going with excitement.

Well, I am severely disappointed. Wizzard and I played with that webcam ... was probably Friday before the event. We would sit on the bench, wait 15 seconds, then switch places, wait another 15 seconds, switch places again ... we did it a few times and nobody here saw it. Shucks, we were TRYING to entertain you but I guess we were like that tree in the woods thingy.

No, I didn't place the geocache. Kristine might have, though. She is an avid geocacher. She even wanted to plant a few travel bugs and brought some with her, not sure if she did or not, I will ask her.Martiansky wrote:I saw a couple of people Geekster, I can't remember when it was though. Are you the one who "placed" the BM webcam geocache?

diane o' - i think they changed cameras a month or two back and that started happening. I just hit "refresh" and usually the new image is ok. My name is bin noddin and I'm a Gerlach webcam addict.
