Jiffypop! Jiffypop! The magic treat! As much fun to make as it is to eat!Martiansky wrote:I'd like to make popcorn out there! Maybe Jiffypop?
Someone in Hushville made popcorn in '05 (maybe AntiM?) and it sure hit the spot!
found out that Jiffy pop is not indefinitely shelf stable when I pulled a didn't know how old one out of the camping box for a Hey look what I brought surprise. Yeah, thank dog it smelled rancid, before it had to be tasted as such. dang.
Maybe with a solar oven....I've experimented with making popcorn with a big Fresnel from a projection TV to mixed results- Maybe it'd work better in the Black Rock Desert than at Lakes OF Fire in Michigan! Just doing it on a camp stove would be anticlimactic.Martiansky wrote:I'd like to make popcorn out there! Maybe Jiffypop?

Not me, although we do bring the Jiffypop in a pan to heat over the burner. Stove burner, not a burner burner.Martiansky wrote:I'd like to make popcorn out there! Maybe Jiffypop?

We always stop at the Wally World in Fernley where we have a room for the night before and after. Though the WW in Winnemucca is an option as well.theCryptofishist wrote:And from the East?dragonpilot wrote:Martiansky wrote: From the south Fernly or Reno.

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Kind of like sparkleponies. Something that tasty is eaten up in the real world.AntiM wrote:I like spam-flavored macadamia nuts. Yes, they exist. But not in nature.
