we figured out that any kind of real 'schedule' would not be possible..playa-time and all that. but established STOPS (ie, center camp, the man, 2:00, 10:00) .
Call it the PTA (Playa Transportation Authority) and put up signs. You'd prolly have to get an Okee-Dokee from DMV (vehicle and participant safety) and possibly the Ranger power that be (clearing the route as OK) , and a nod from "On-High"™ (Just because it's their party, they can cry if they want to >giggles<) but I can see it. Make sure the schedule *isn't* followed (after all, not only is it BRC but the local bus company) and even give out a worthless transfer (call it the plug nickle) which guarantees a continuation of your ride to nowhere for the same low price of free.

Eventually even get this old double decker bus, done in el-wire and whatnot, maybe matresses in place of the seats... Make that Wrought Iron Beds... (Need to find a donated DD bus)... wind chimes hanging from the windows...

*That* would be a worthy gift to the city. And it'd be *fun*...

If you think there should be a public transportation system, then design and build one.
Has this ever been tried? Damn that would be cool.
yes, this year. I am part of the build team for the BRC Rickshaw fleet (sise by side bicycles pulling multi passenger rickshaws). There will be 6 to 8 of these things this year with increased numbers perhaps in the future.

Wincing at the thought of another TLA* bureaucracy and its officious agents.

*TLA = Three Letter Acronym
