Mid-Atlantic Truck to the Burn via Detroit

Post by AndyWing » Thu Jul 04, 2019 6:24 am

Big 'ole Truck

Our camps 22nd year! Camp Videogasm runs a truck cross country every Burn as a non-commercial effort. We charge enough to cover rental and fuel only. Our drivers are all volunteers.

The basics:

- $9 per cu ft.
- There is an overweight surcharge. See the web site for details.
- PayPal or cash accepted up to Fri 8/16, cash only on the 16th.

Truck loads in King of Prussia, PA (near Philadelphia) on Fri 8/16, leaves on Sat 8/17. Stop over in Detroit 8/18 for final load up. Arrival in BRC on Fri 8/23.

Repacking on Mon 9/2 for departure the morning of 9/3. The truck arrives in Detroit on 9/6 and back in KOP, PA on 9/8. You can drop off your cargo in KOP starting on 8/1.

Don't use flimsy bins or anything with loose lids as they can get crushed. Standard "bumble bee" style bins are preferred over odd shaped boxes. All bikes must be boxed in advance! All generators/engines must be run dry and aired out!

Send questions to the contacts listed on the web site.

Hi,

I need to ship a small used wood stove (size of a suitcase) weighing about 300 pounds out to our brother in Utah. If necessary, our brother can meet you at the Burn to pick it up or he can intercept you on the way. Can you transport this for $100?

Tom

Andy,

Thanks. I understand that the truck is full, but please let me know if four cubic feet becomes available by the time you leave tomorrow, so we can bring the wood stove up to KOP.
