Buddhist monk from Korea

Post by seonmonk » Thu Aug 15, 2019 8:20 pm

Hey Everyone,

American born Korean Zen monk finally getting to his first burn. Originally planned to go in 2012, but my Master whisked me away to the mountains far away. Ordained in 2012, finished 10 kyolches (90 day retreats), and got back to the states last year. We recently set up a meditation center in New York, and I teach there for friends and family. Hoping to open it up to the public soon once we have the permission to do so.

I plan on holding sitting and walking sessions with friends, teaching Hwadu (seon koan) meditation, and giving out zen beads to practice prostrations with :D . Not with any camp yet, but if there's anyone willing to take a monk, I am very handy :).

May you be happy. May you be well. May you be safe. May you be peaceful and at ease.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
