center camp stage -copyright permission slip for music??

i have been told that i need a written copyright permission slip to perform at center camp....

i have come to understand that i need this much fabled permission..... but what exactly is it? a pre-printed form? a handwritten note? an email from the artist?

i could pretty easily get an email from a musician or two.... but is that enough?
what is enough?

if this doesn't work.... who wants to drum or play somethin live for some monkey bellydance friday about 5-ish?
