You can also donate at your local Costco warehouse. At least the one near my place is collecting for them.

New Orleans relief

Veterans for Peace has set up in Covington,La. across Lake Ponchatrain from New Orleans. They are helping those who are being missed by the large groups. Chec them out at <http://www.vfproadtrips.org> or <http://www.plenty.org> Avoid the big beauracies, help people to people.

Yeah, how did Covington fare? I was thinking about relocating there awhile back. Heard about it on Discovery Channel, nice quirky little arts community. One of the houses was built on stilts twenty feet above ground level and you got from one structure to another via bridges and catwalks among the trees.
