BURNING MAN-SPONSORED NEW ORLEANS RELIEF GROUP SEEKS HELP...

Hi. My name is Jonah Mociun and I'm part of The Third Line, a circus troupe/relief work group which was formed at this year's Burning Man festival. Working together with Black Rock City and the American Red Cross, we helped to raise about $30,000 in donations for New Orleans relief, a small portion of which was allocated towards our group's further efforts. Our first intention is to go to Houston to help with the refugees there, and we will most likely head directly into New Orleans in mid-October.

I'm writing to ask fellow "Burners" and other sympathetic people to open their homes (or their back yards) to us as we pass through their areas. We are currently headed towards Houston, Texas from Reno, Nevada. We will be passing through Taos, New Mexico in order to add some members to our caravan.

We could also use the following donation items:
*costumes (clown costumes, other silly costumes, etc.)
*a sound amplification system
*a hand-held recording device
*pots/pans (for mass meal preparation)
*camping stoves
*socks/underwear (for refugees)
*vehicles (for additional performers/space for supplies)
*ideas/feedback
*more performers, helpers, etc.
