My Wedding Ring! (Sunday 2005)

A man's simple gold, smooth-domed wedding band. Inside is the inscription:

LBM - JWH 8/17/85
I am my beloved's

We just celebrated our 20th anniversary and the loss of this ring will be a hole in my soul!

I removed it to play drums on Sunday afternoon, putting it in a pocket where I thought it would be safe. When I went to look for it, the ring was GONE. We were camped at The Playground (3:30 & Esplanade), but the ring could be anywhere around there or even out on the Playa.

As reported last week in the JRS Vol 10, Issue 6, my wedding ring was miraculously discovered by DPW member Red Michelle on the Esplanade during cleanup. It was returned to me and is now firmly back on my finger! I now consider myself married to the Black Rock Desert and will forever cherish the return of my missing ring as the best playa gift I've ever received. Thanks to the DPW, the BMorg staff, and everyone who helped to reunite me with this lost treasure. Don't give up, people! If you're meant to have it back, lost stuff will be found sometime by somebody. It's just a matter of accumulating sufficient good karma, which is something you should be working on anyway!
