release of big orange bouncy balls photos wanted

Post by michasmile » Mon Sep 12, 2005 9:56 am

Did anyone get a photo of the release of the big orange bouncy PT balls?? It happened sometime on Friday 9:45am - 10:30am.

My friend Just Dave was helping out and we never got a photo so we are looking on the internet.

I didn't see the release but I saw them as the wind blew them around the trash fence on friday midmorning. Bummer that some of the plugs came out and that many were deflating. I saw several go over the fence never to be seen again! The wind got 'em and they were ...GONE!!
Too bad they didn't have tracking devices.....would've been fun to see how far they went!

A tally on how many escaped over the fence would be interesting, too....I was responsible for one that made it over, stupidly playing bike polo with it until the wind got a hold of it and blew it over- Chased it downwind about a mile and executed a surprisingly painless off-the-bike-tackle, making it back out of no-man's-land without trouble although apparently the Rangers DID spot me out there.

Sounds like a serious MOOP issue. I can't imagine the DPW was too happy about those. I've thought it would be cool to try some helium balloon art, but the issue of blowing MOOP has helped me to decide against it. What were you thinking?

I saw one of these red-orange giant rubber bouncy balls roll past me on a windy night. It was moving FAST. I chased it on my bike into the camp area and brought it over to the Hookahdome where I just rolled it into the crowd. A little raver girl spotted it first and started playing with it and she soon had the biggest smile on her face.

We we're near the trash fence when the balls started rolling, everyone went nuts trying to catch them, really funny. We shot video of it and a few stills.

On page 60 there is 1 shot

If the video is anywhere near as outstanding as your comic book photo gallery, I already can't wait! The URL is already making the non-eplaya internet rounds.

So one of 'em flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, eh? I wonder which state it's in now.
