Re: Intro babes
Best advice I can give is to read Eplaya.
Everything- you have a year to get to know the culture and learn how to handle all the possible problems.

Everyone is so politically fucked up that they're segregating themselves in the name of equal rights and liberation.

Welcome aboard, Trish!
What Popeye said.
And I can add to it. While ePlaya is not as active as it once was, the entire archive is still right here for you to read and learn from.
Two key points:
The built-in search function is not the greatest, and it can work better to use a common search engine (such as Google) and simply include "ePlaya" in the search terms.
And be aware that there has always been a great deal of both snark and art, which you need to bypass to find the useful information.
Next, you will find near-endless information on the rest of the BM website.
Start with the Survival Guide. Read it, read it again, and then keep reading until you truly understand it all.
And now we come to YOU.
First, I applaud you for understanding that this is a process, and for beginning that process now.
Then, I must ask: What do you wish / plan / intend to contribute to the community of Black Rock City?
Don't panic! This question will make perfect sense once you have learned your way around a little bit. Please keep us posted on your progress.
Oh, and – thank you for spelling "desert" correctly.
