Flaming Lotus Girls Rock!

Post by gyre » Tue Oct 18, 2005 11:31 am

A bunch of sweeties with hundreds of gallons of volatiles
and a yen for fire! What's not to love?

The Angel Burn was great.
"Everything is more wonderful when you do it with a car, don't you think?"
-girl by the fire, watching a tree moved by car bumper in the bonfire

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

Angel Burn

Post by gyre » Thu Oct 20, 2005 12:47 pm

I have some photos of that huge pile of wood being lifted by a crane while the burn area was being prepped with gas valves and so on.
If anyone missed it, the angel of the apocalypse was designed as fire art and gas was fed through the upreached arms. There were buttons the audience could push to send jets of fire up. The Angel Burn started as the man burned down. Of course, people ran between the flames.

They were at the 4th of Juplaya a couple of nights ago.

On the 4th.....get it.... on the 4th ?

(yes, I had a little too much sun this weekend)
We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

You seemed fairly normal this morning, but then again I had been up way to fucking long.

Glad I got the chance to meet you.
:D
