SHOCKED in beijing

howdy ya'll

i'm a black rock cowgirl who's shacking up in china for a bit.

currently i'm living in beijing, where it can be a small world. and it's shocking that i haven't met any other burners here yet. but i haven't.

thailand doesn't count. and neither do visitors from london. yunnan rocks, but it's a faraway distant land and might as well be its own country.

so this is to let you all know, i'm here, and i'm looking for YOU, so come and share some of your fire, here in beijing.

If my plan executes according to, er, plan, I will be in China next year starting in April and ending when I return to the states for BM2006. Certainly I'll be swinging through Beijing for a few days on my whirlwind tour.

by all means, please say hello when you swing by on your way in/out, or on your way through. who knows, there may be more of us in beijing by then. party, party, party...

I was told that if you put ten Japanese in a room,
they will attempt to take over a small country.

If you put ten Chinese in a room,
they will throw a party.
If this is true, just start something there.
What do you think?

thanks, dear. i think i may have seen that somewhere, too. maybe listed in a book of chinese proverbs, confucious' book of partying or something.

actually, i'm all about starting something, hence this post to begin with. i've introduced burning man to quite a few artists and musicians here in beijing. and it's gotten a real warm receptive response. this city is on fire, indeed.

but in terms of a connecting point for burners, we're still in the seed stage. but ah-planting and ah-partying we go...
