That really is the issue isn't it? I wish I could just drop everything and go to Mississippi and help, and spread the burner love all around. But I can't afford it. I have no way to pay the rent and for my car if I were to do such a thing. I suppose the best way I can help is to just give money to their effort. That way somebody with less shit to worry about than I have can do the things I wish I could do.Rockdad wrote:I Wrote story today about Burners without Borders at this LINKl

Even fifteen bucks will by a can of gas. Guys... they're doing great work. Really... and they can use whatever support you can give them. Karine's non-profit bought $100 worth of gas for the generators today. She deserves a pat on the back for all the hard work she's doing and the help she's given. And she's just one of the many outstanding folks down there who are making a difference one person at a time. Over one hundred outstanding people have gone down there so far and many more have sent support via funding.MoisturePup wrote:I suppose the best way I can help is to just give money to their effort
I am so proud of every single one.
My understanding is that they will be there until the end of March or so and any help you can give will be put to good use. Even if you purchase a t-shirt or hotpants... it goes straight into the Diesel to run the equipment and the gas for the generators. FYI... the hotpants seem to run a little small.
