For people in the Portland or surrounding metros, feel free to come by to our open work parties on the following dates/themes this summer. These are free, open parties, running from 6-10 (plenty of time to go afterparty at the Wednesday night Burn Night at Pala's).

1) Wednesday, June 14th - Hijack a Noobie! - especially focused on helping new burners figure out just what, exactly, they've gotten themselves into.



2) Wednesday, June 28th - What are YOU doing? Bring your own project to work on, and make plans early enough to begin coordinating with other tribes.



3) Wednesday, July 12 - CAR PARTY - Taking your car to burning man? Give it an oil change! Get the timing right! Give it some bling! We'll have oil disposal onhand, and a number of mechanics. Mutant Vehicles A+



4) Wednesday, July 19 - Got Bike? We'll be pulling apart the Zoo Bomb (http://www.zoobomb.net) pile and rebuilding, adding flare and in general examining that junker you rode last year. You may leafve the bicycle with us for transport to playa starting July 19th



5) Wednesday, July 26th - DIY - Just two days before the big, free, WASH festival (http://www.thewashfestival.com), let us help you work on your project!

At all of these, one can do any number of these projects - we are making them slightly theme-based so we know what kind of extra supplies to bring.



These are FREE work parties, giving you access to the shop. We might let one or another camp run an illegal bar, though of course, if you'd like to drink with burners that very night, there is Pala's downtown.
