Why did the Rabbit cross the Playa?

Post by Peacekeeper » Mon Jul 03, 2006 4:07 pm

So we were on our way back from JuPlaya, when way out in the middle we
found this dead rabbit...

WTF?
What was doing out there?
What was he thinking?

Why oh why did the rabbit cross the playa?

He knew the time was nigh;
It was his turn to die;
He saw all those humans;
Making fun, hi-jinks and lumens;
And thot it the place that gave the high.

Sitting on his rock shelf;
He said to himself;
"There I will go to breath my last;
And reflect upon my past;
Surely the playa will make me, too, a happy elf."

So he set out to do it;
Tho his joints ached all thru it.
And finally in that place he did lie;
Not caring tho the buzzards did fly;
"I've made the playa; dying now matters not a bit."
"All the great villainies of history have been perpetrated by sober men, and chiefly by teetotalers"

Dead??!!!

Naw. The last time I was out on the playa, I saw a few people drunk and passed out on the playa with that same goofy smile on their faces!

The rabbit crossed the playa trying to catch and hump the jackalope.

How do you prepare a bunny? It starts, I think, with a marinade....

Anyway, shades of Ernest Hemingway.

Priceless. It's been a while since I laughed like that!
By the way where is good old Rex of late? If he's no longer online maybe he'll have time to take that basic typing course he kept putting off.

he HAD those things, but while taking a cool refreshing dip in Frog Pond (and catching up on the latest Frog gossip), those DAMN crickets stole everything! Everything I say! Then poor Rabbit was hopping back, cursing all those crickets, when ZOOM! - SMACK! along came Mr. Neon...

Kilimanjaro is a snow-covered mountain 19,710 feet high, and is said to be the highest mountain in Africa. Its western summit is called the Masai "Ngaje Ngai," the House of God. Close to the western summit there is the dried and frozen carcass of a leopard. No one has explained what the leopard was seeking at that altitude.

I used to have an Engrish T-shirt which ranted on about The Snowjob of Kilimanjaro.

Not that that matters to the bunny. Or the Leopard, or Ernest. At any altitude.
