Looking for a four season Tent

Post by gyre » Tue Aug 01, 2006 6:18 pm

I had a terrific Jansport which was seized by the city here-lawsuit pending.
The cheap tent I took last year lasted two hours before filling with dust and collapsing. A sailor sewed the doors shut in the wind. ( I'm not making this up. You can find any skill at burning man.)
Don't let me take crummychinesetentsrus to the playa again!
Somebody must have a tent on a shelf somewhere, even one that needs repair.
Thanks for looking.

I have a North Face Pole Sleeve Oval that needs a new home. Looks very much like this.

I'm ready to let this old guy go but not into giving it away.

How much do you want for it?

I thought you were making a serious offer. Hmmm. Guess not.

The Dome looks pretty good, but for $5000, not only should it keep me safe at Burningman, it should also get me laid.

North Face is definitely what I am looking for.

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

That 47 is a nice tent. Wanted one for a years. They will stand up to anything. GOOD winter cap tent.

If I got one (Hmmm....) I'd do an aluminet fly for it, just to beat the sun a little. But that's more than enough tent for what you need.

I agree.
I'm told the yellow color is to increase heat absorption in the cold, but I don't know if that's true.
My big parka only comes in yellow or red.
They don't admit it, but that is so searchers can find you after you screw up.
The presumption is the more serious the gear, the more risk.

Badger,

Did you change your mind about parting with your tent?
I'm still interested.
