just decided to go to BM again .. looking for camp..
greetings,
I just got back from the Peruvian Amazon a few days ago and realized 2 things: I don't want to be in Ohio (not a new realization, more a confirmation), and I need to keep moving until I figure something out.
Just 2 days ago I decided to go to BM again this year.
I am driving from Columbus, Ohio to San Fran .. will stay in Sebastapol for a couple days .. and will then drive to Black Rock City. I am looking for a camp.
Mainly what I would like to contribute this year is the Amazonian brand of "shamanism", for lack of a better word (well, their is a better word - in Spanish - curanderismo). I may also be interested in holding a couple ceremonies involving a certain vine brew native to the Amazon.
I did post something already, but I would also like to express that I am open to joining a camp that doesn't share the same intentions or themes .. so my search is specific but it can also be more general.
What defines "transformation" when it comes to the evolution of living beings? that is why I coming again this year .. to continue to support an extremely intense and necessary transformation in my evelotion.
If their are any camps that would embrace what I am there for, or if anyone can point me in a direction, it would be greatly appreciated!
thanks
Bendiciones
Aaron

Healer camp?
Hi Aaron,
I spent 05 and some of this year looking for a similar camp - healers/shamans/transformation etc.
In 2004 (the first year I went) I found a camp that had classes and workshops and ceremonies, and had a good "feel" but, sadly, they are no more...
Eventually I'll probably just make my own camp (I guess that's how the good things are born) but it won't be this year...
I'd love to participate in some of the ceremonies - sounds like a lot of fun :-)
BTW, just curious, how old are you?
Allan

Alan,
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I think I would be interested in collaborating to develop a camp next year with a "healing/transformation/shamanism" theme. Just a matter of connecting with the right people.
I'm 21, but that their are layers I am working with right now that simultaneously make me feel SO old and SO young..
Who are you camping with this year? I am going with a minimal setup, but I did find a camp that could maybe support some ceremonies.
Take care.. maybe we can meet up at some point.
Bendiciones!

:-)
I think a camp for healers etc will be a fun activity for next year. Perhaps we can have an evening gathering of those interested during this years event and see what comes out of it?
If you've found a camp that would be a good host for such a gathering let me know :-)

I don't want to harsh anyone's buzz, but it says right in the survival guide, no planning for next year's event until this one is at least over!
Seriously, why wait? If you want to do a shamanism camp it can be done with just one or two people. It needn't be big or elaborate, the thing that informs a camp most is the energy of the participants, not the extent of the infrastructure.
Although a little shade is nice.
I'm driving to BRC with a group of 5 from Columbus. We leave tomorrow. Perhaps we'll see you along the way!
Meincoif,
I left early in order to spend a few days with a friend north of San Fran. I'm leaving tonight at midnight to BRC. It would be cool to meet some people from Columbus.. where are you camping at? part of a larger camp?
Hope the drive was smooth!
