Try Stress Vitamin Mixes next time

Post by diane o'thirst » Tue Sep 05, 2006 3:08 pm

I ran up against budget when it came time to buy the recommended 5-HTP and Emergen-C this year, so I checked out a bottle of Stress Formula at Rite-Aid and thought the percentages list on the side would work at least as well as those two supplements together.

It was a bit of a gamble but one that paid off incredibly well. This was the first time I've gone to the Burn and didn't have a single meltdown. In addition to regular food intake, I took two pills a day; it recommends one but since the Playa can be ferocious I decided that doubling up wouldn't be out of line and came out fine. My energy stayed high, mood clear and cheerful, and even when a meltdown was very called for I didn't go off. When I saw the mile-high dust storm coming on Wednesday afternoon, I didn't freak and instead buckled down to securing our camp.

The bottle price was $7.50, I brought and took about $2.50's worth of pills. The combination of 5-HTP and Emergen-C together run at least $25 and even $30, so $2.50's worth of stress vites beats that budget crunch with a stick. Plus it doesn't taste like crap like Emergen-C does.

Check out the percentage list: Vitamin C 833%, Vitamin E 100%, Vitamin B1 667%, B2 588%, Niacin 500%, B6 250%, Folic Acid 100%, B12 200%, Biotin 10%, Pantothenic Acid 200%, Iron 100%. I'm heartily recommending stress vites in place of 5-HTP and Emergen-C.
