4th of Juplaya 2007
If you are planning to go have you researched whether it's going to be primarily the weekend before or the weekend after. (Fourth of July this year is on a Wedsnesday.)
People just go.
There's no structure to it because it isn't an event.
They go to spend a few days in the desert during the holiday.
REPEAT: Juplaya isn't an 'event.'
Small groups of folks who know each other rather well and plan extensively before heading out camp in together in different areas of the playa. It isn't a good idea to show up unannounced at a camp thinking that this is a Burningman II. Doing so will probably result in you being gifted quite a few clues starting with 'Please Leave.'
If you go it's probably a good idea to go with a few of your own friends doing your own thing. Visiting other camps is encouraged. Staying there unannounced isn't.
Also, keep in mind that the BLM is constantly patrolling the area(s) and the same rules of Common Sense apply. Don't get stupid out there. If you do get stupid and get busted for it consider it yet another clue.

I saw your reply on Tribe. I don't know if I could convince a group of my friends to head out there for the fourth. I have this idea for an art project that I would love to test before Burning Man out on the playa. Just to see how it works and make sure it doesn't miserably fail out there.Badger wrote:People just go.

Haha. I'd think he was trolling if I wasn't so aware of the last two years of posts he's made where he's steadily progressed into crazy town. At least he's not spouting about no government having authority over him anymore.helitack wrote:I wanna know where the Yogi Veru Mamo will be camping. Heard there's cheap eats there....
