Last day to stay

Hi Guys, sorry if this has been asked. Searched and couldn't find anything.
This year will be my first time at Burning Man. Planning my flight to Reno. Burning Man ends on Sept. 3rd. Am I required to leave the Playa on the 3rd or can I stay that night and leave on Sept. 4th? And if I leave on the 4th should I expect long delays in getting back to Reno? Thanks in advance for any info.
