A UNIQUE PRELUDE TO BURNING MAN 2007...A COMMUNITY GATHERING OF ARTISTS, VISIONARIES, TRASHIONISTAS, PERFORMERS, AND INVENTORS...PLUS GREEN & GAME THEMED ENCAMPMENTS AND ART!

This special Flambé will be powered more by the creative energy of participants than by massive generators and sound systems! Inside Mighty you can dance it up as usual till 4am. On the street--pending final permit approval--you'll help us pull the plug, go off grid, be green, and challenge our creativity with an acoustic street celebration! Imagine interactive theme camp games and art, a light saber dance, improvisational sock puppet performances, playafied theatrics, green-themed surprises and YOU! Wear recycled materials for the TRASHion Show, or illuminated finery to join the Green Light Glow Parade at 9. Come early to enjoy the art, theme camps, performances, and info tables; then stay late inside Mighty to shake your booty well into the emerald depths of night...you won’t leave un-enLIGHTened!

This Flambé is especially geared to showcase YOUR art, theme camp, costume, and performance ideas for Burning Man 2007. Special emphasis on Green Man theme, Earth-friendly art, interactive game camps, alternative energy inventions, and radically interactive performance art! While I'm excited about this event, I'm frustrated that it falls on the same night that we finally get to have our event (URL=http://tribes.tribe.net/experimentsf]The Experiment[/URL], a blend of music and art) on a Saturday. We've got 9 nationally and internationally known DJ's who are also burners, and one electro-breaks superstar from the UK that we're working on bringing to the playa for the first time this year, and visually the place should be off the hook. While we don't put the event together specifically as a Burning Man event (we want non-burners to feel welcome and comfortable too), burners make up a pretty good chunk of our audience.

Perhaps since Flambe Lounge is a day into night party, we can orchestrate some kind of discount for people coming from one party to the other (we start later and run later)...

This will be an indoor night event and festival of light – we’re seeking light performers, light art, and visual projection art. NOTE: We originally planned to do this event June 2nd on Utah St and inside our beloved Mighty (host of many theme camp fundraisers and our Burnal Equinox). However, the street closure permit times and conditions were too restrictive for us to do this event and safely accommodate everyone wishing to attend. Knowing that many of you wish to attend this Pre-Com we were forced to move to a larger indoor only venue and the June 9th date. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We love Mighty and hope to return there in the future.
