Burning man will change your life forever. From the looks of your website you will fit right in.
Remember the temps are what newbies are not prepared for. 48 to 50C degresss is not unheard of - with humidity of only 5-9 percent as well. Means it is real dry and drying. Your feet will crack and bleed if you try to go barefoot too long, or wear sandals all the time without some maintenance. So at night try to wear socks, and heal your feet, use lots of lotion as well.
You will also not sweat much as it is evaporating as fast as it comes out of your skin. I can drink 6 litres of water and still only pee once in a day there. This means that you can dehydrate as you dont feel sweaty and arent drinking enough. Boozeahol isnt a substitute for water either
remember to pace yourself and not burn out by wednesday/thursday making the rest of your stay crappy.
Build shade so you can rest some
Although it happens spiked drinks probably dont happen anymore at BM than off playa (this is just from my experiences - I could be way off, but thats my opinion)
Beware of Yahoos - a Yahoo is a guy (usually) that heard about BM from a friend or Frat brother and decided to go and check out the naked chicks. You will know one when you see one. He will be with his buddies, in a pack with cameras, and gawking at every naked person they can. They take photos without asking, drop cans on the playa or toss them into the back of parked trucks. Yahoos blow and they are also only looking to get laid.
BM is also so filled with people willing to help that all you have to do is ask anyone, or even look like you need help and you will get it. I see total strangers take someone all they way to their camp help them find a lost friend, or if needed summon help instantly from ESD or the BRC rangers. In BRC help is no more than a stones throw away literaly. So dont be ashamed, shy or hesitant about asking for help.
BRC also has MD's volunteering, and a second to none fire department / emergency services branch headed up by professionals from around the country.
In my experience I see more of them Wednesday on as all they want to do is come get tossed, drunk, laid, party and leave.
Check out the newbies guide for supplies, and bring more water than you think you can use - its easier to get rid of than get. Remember if your short ask someone can help you out or buy ice, and let it melt. A bag is right around 2 gallons.
Lots more tips for newbies all over the eplaya.
Hope you have a blast - Look us up.
