Looking for space (to share?)-- I have $ and stuff

Hello there,

I live in San Francisco and I need a perpetual storage and sometimes work space for all of my burning man stuff. I would like to start working on larger scale art pieces but I need the room!


..and of course it can't cost too much.

One option I have identified is to rent outdoor space in South San Francisco. There are commercial "yards" where they will allow you to place storage sheds, build geodesic domes, paint, drill, or whatever. With my on-playa building skills I feel confident that I can make this outdoor situation work for my light construction needs.


This space is available at 20 cents per square foot per month. That means a 2000 square foot space would be $400 a month, which is within my budget and is plenty of room.


The problem is that they want to rent out 5,000 - 6,000 square feet of space, and will not subdivide it. Suddenly the cost has more than doubled, and it no longer makes sense for me.


So... is there anyone out there who would like to talk about sharing commercial yard space with me?

Or even better, is there anyone who knows of an affordable solution to my need for a place to store my materials year round (500 square feet would be plenty) and a place to occasionally drill, saw, and paint things, preferably with enough room to erect a 16 foot high 24 foot diameter geodesic dome and leave it around for a few weeks while I work on internal engineering?
