I walked and rode around with a big shit-eating grin on my face *most* of the time in BRC this year (2007), and I noticed most people smiled right back with the same shit-eating grin. So I have tried here, in Oakland, on BART, at work. Same thing. Maybe a little less, but not much.
Thanks everyone. You taught me how to grin, and it is a very simple thing: Don't be afraid to grin. :->

I've been doing the same thing all week, and I have to say, it's kind of fantastic to watch people's faces light up when they realize you're smiling at them instead of my usual, staring off into outer space, or fiddling with my cell phone.

HAHA I have had the same experience this week. I walk around with a big-ass grin on my face and some people respond positively to it and others just stare at me like I'm a serial killer. The latter being the best reaction to see.

One of my favorite memories of the week was chasing after the Cheshire Car cuz it was playing New Model Army's "Vagabonds"
