I don't remember much about that night, actually. But I do remember you. Was it Friday? I was alone. I was orbiting Neverwas, the tree, and the amazing steam engine when I saw you smile. You -- curly hair, warm and at least as euphoric as I was. Your friend arrived mid-conversation, and the next thing I know you're asking me if I brought my bike. Believe me, I wish I had not been on foot that night. You, being more portable than I, took off in one direction, I in another. I'd give anything to see that smile again. Was it a dream?
