How to wrap xmas lights to vertical pole?
I want to wrap xmas lights around the vertical poles of my carport (like a candycane). The poles are metal and smooth/slick enough so that the lights tend to slide down the pole. So what are some ways that I can keep the lights from sliding down the pole? Would something as simple as scotch tape work?
It's what you make it.

Or, you can avoid tape AND bungees- Stretch out your Xmuz lights and ziptie or tape them to large-gauge aluminum wire (called "clothesline wire" at hardware stores, and sometimes coated with blue translucent plastic) every couple of inches. Now bend this setup around one of your carport legs or a similar-sized tube. Then slide off and put aside for 47 weeks. They'll slide right on when you're ready, and stay put as long as you anchor the top. Downside being that you have to have room to store the "light spirals"- This prep stage could be done on-playa as well, if there's a space crunch.
