Lights Out San Francisco is a citywide energy conservation event on Oct. 20, 2007. On this night, we invite the entire city of San Francisco to install one compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) and turn off all non-essential lighting for one hour. Wouldn't it be great if our whole megalopolis shut off the lights for one evening so we could sit under the stars as we do on the playa?

The fog would unquestionably be bad that night...
It's hard to have a normal conversation with someone with 6' acrylic rods strapped to your back.
