In Vino Veritas - In wine there is truth

So how many of us have made jackasses out of ourselves when we drink? said anything that you regret -

me - got tossed at a reunion and told my sister in law how i wanted to hump her. Didnt go over as well as I thought it would. Any better stories out there.

I don't particularly get drunk, in part for that reason. When I do, I do tend to a certain giddyness and affection for human kind. But I can't think of anything really stupid I've done drunk except drink more to the point of throwing up.

I think it's a little sad that your SIL didn't like to know you found her fuckable. On one hand I can see that it might have been too close for comfort--especially if it was poorly express by you--on the other, there's something sweet about knowing a man finds you attractive, even if you'll never do anything sexual with him.

Damn, the list of STUPID things I've done is endless. Which is why I don't drink that much anymore.

You know, I was thinking about how I talk when I get drunk and can see myself getting to the point where I'm teasing my friend and saying there is no more wine. But then I'd stop and go, "no, really — there is more wine" but it would come out wrong. If I were from Latin-speaking times, it might have come out, "in wine there is truth." So I suspect it was just a bunch of folks hanging around drunk and one of meant to say, "in truth, there is wine" but it came out mixed up.

And now we're stuck thinking people say the truth when they're drunk.

Makes me wonder just what this "truth" thing is anyway.

They do. When guys are drunk they say to other guys "Fuck you" [="you are my competition for sex"] and tell the girls "I love you" [="you are my target for sex"]. And for that moment, at least, it is the truth.

Let's see...the only thing that comes to mind as the dumbest thing I did while drunk was hitting on every girl in the room (yes, I'm well aware of the subtle message underlying that thought) - but I have done it dozens of times. Does quantity equal quality in this case?
