Seattle burner in SF on the evening of Jan 27th and 28th

Post by susanneb » Wed Jan 23, 2008 10:04 am

I've just been told work is sending me to their SF office for training next week.
I'll be in SF looking for something entertaining to do and/or entertaining people to hang with the evenings of Jan. 27th & 28th (sunday and monday nights)
Anything special happening either of them there days?

I believe I'll be staying down between China town and Market st., but I'm super bart and muni friendly.

Whee!

This here's a decent resource for SF stuff:

And if you're really adventurous, there's Zeitgeist and Delirium and Lucky 13, if you are a fan of dive-y bars....

I think the bart goes there, mdm.

Chico's on sixth has great pizza.
Get their special.
Middle eastern italian.

There is a speakeasy in the area.

There is a restaurant described as burning man with valet parking.
I don't know the name.
I hear it is pricey but entertaining.

There is a good comedy club.

If you like lighthouses, there is a full fresnel lens in a museum near the waterfront.
If you haven't done it before, take a boat out in the bay.
Bring a coat.

If you can, go see these guys.

Public transport is easy. There is a bus that stops at every terminal and brings you to the BART stop. BART will then take you all the way into SF. If I can remember correctly, the bus is approx $5 and bart around $4 but I might be making that up, I am a compulsive liar :)

I had to look up BART - found the map link and printed them to my non-internet laden friend.
