Harry Potter Movie w/ overdub????

Harry Potter is my hero. Kidding.

But seriously.... i am deperately trying to find whomever was in charge of a particular camp that existed somewhere on the edge of the inner circle faceing the playa during the 2007 burn- and am lacking in information regarding it. Help if you can?

This camp was very distinct in that it featured movies played late nights on a large screen that could be seen from great distances on the playa. There were several films shown that i saw parts of but do not know the names of these films. Some of more memorable ones were movies with a sort of add-lib over dub sound track recorded on top of the original film. Whitty and clever dialogue that made the films hilarious. The only title of the movies that i saw there that would be familiar was the original Harry Potter movie.

I am trying to find whomever it was that ran this camp- or made those films. Does this camp sound familiar to anyone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, we have shown "Wizard People, Dear Reader" for many years at Bad Idea Theater, but we have not been on the esplanade and our outdoor projection is pretty small (basically it's incidental, rear projection for the purposes of viewing inside the canopy) .

I'm thinking he was maybe looking at some other camp? Hard to say. There was a big-projection video camp on the esplanade at 3:00 last year, fairly close to us (in 3:00 plaza). I don't get around much but I've been told that other camps have picked up on Wizard People - but we try to stay ahead by liquoring you up while you watch.

We regularly show a few over-dubed movies, some examples would be:

"What's up Hideous Sun Demon?" (Hideous Sun Demon)
"Blobermouth" (The Blob)

There was even a mobile screen last year.

I love Bad Idea.
I think you might want to get a copy of Fans and Freaks.
Even if you just show the outtakes, it's worth it.
When that chick climbs on top of the tesla tower, stretches out her hands and turns it on!!! Wow!!!!
