hey everyone
four of us coming from ireland for bm this year
we are staying in vegas for a few days first and will arrive in black rock city on tuesday evening (possibly night depending on how fast we can drive the RV from vegas to reno and then on to black rock city)
we all like electronic music, although all music is good once good quality.. would be lookin for somewhere to camp but have really no idea where would be best..... dont want to just arrive after a long drive and end up parking anywhere... any suggestions?

You really should go everywhere and see the city.
I like to be near the center, so the distances are about the same, but there are interesting things at each end.
If you want to be near the loud camps there are posts on other threads about what is where.
By tuesday, you will have some trouble getting an Rv close to the esplanade in most parts of the city.
I don't know how far back you should start, but you have a large shape to fit into a camp.
It's not that big a deal.
As other people mention, look for things that you object to, if any.
And make sure the people in your area are okay with a generator, if you're going to use it.
Some people like an RV for shade and windbreak.
Generators, not so much.
But don't stay near camp all the time.
Go see everything.
