Mad Max Mechanic / Welder

Post by twentythree » Fri Jan 02, 2004 2:34 pm

My old beloved truck slipped on the Tahoe ice and sustained some body damage a few weeks ago to the right rear quarterpanel/window/tail light. Unfortunately I had no collision insurance on her, and restoring it professionally would cost close to what she's worth...so I'm wondering if any art car artists/welders/mad scientists out there could give me some help or advice getting her fixed up, Black Rock City style (meaning, a road warrior job would be just fine)...in exchange I'd be glad to donate her services this fall at BM and leading up to it, as a practice welding mobile, art car, transport, or whatever else you may want, I'm game for negotiation!

The truck is a 1990 4runner and I am in SF. Email me for more info/pictures...and thanks much for any recommendations or help.

peace,

JP Rose

You might give a call to the people over at the "Box Shop" in SF. They are the creators of the "Hand of Gawd" and other fine works of art. They have a rather complete shop and may be able to assist you or rent you the equipment to do it yourself.
Those who think they can and those who think they can't are both right.
