I rocked along with a few of my friends. Thanks for the Lemonade as well. I know some of the other guys from Apokiliptika enjoyed it as well.

Yes! In fact I owe you a huge debt of thanks. I threw out my back on Saturday setting up our theme camp and it felt like crap until I played RYB on Thursday night! I don't know what it did but it was the miracle cure! Thanks!

It was great once I figured out the strengths and weaknesses, I really, really had fun with it.

Come back next year, with stronger levers.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I have a rework of the levers on the drawing board and as soon as I can afford some machine work I'm getting it redone...bearings, shafts, the whole nine yards. The week long beta test in the desert was a great way to see what worked and what needs work!

You know, as much as I hand those levers in my hands
I never got a chance to actually play with them hooked
up to the game. Well there's always next year :lol:

Yeah BadDawg, you probably spent more time repairing those levers than was spent making them in the first place.

Thank Gawd for having a noisy generator, arc welder, grinder, and steel bars to fix abused ball rockers

Hey BadDawg! You will never know how truly appreciative I am of your efforts for us out on the playa. You went far above and beyond and I remain deeply in your debt. The new handles are not only made from heavier stock, but I added a second pivot point that prevents them from being able to go side to side at all. The game is coming back next year and I hope you take a few minutes to make it over to play! I have a couple more mechanical enhancements to get done this year but I have a few months to work on them.

ED, given what I spent having them made (pulled as many favors as possible) I was just grateful to have handles at all. The new handles alone cost me as much as all the steel work AND powdercoating cost in the first place. And yes, thank gawd there are wonderful folks like BadDawg in BRC! It really is the people who make the playa special. Is it August yet?

So I thought this was a classic moment. Here's a shot of two of the fire inspectors for LA Decom hard at "work" making sure the game doesn't combust when played vigorously! They played a full game for about 10 minutes and thanked us for the fun!

You can also see the new handles which worked very well indeed!

Oh, and the game did not combust!

I was commited to check this out, and made it there on Thursday or Wednesday. I tried, er played, for a little while without an opponent, but never got confident in being sure which way things were going to tilt. I also forgot the concept of the game and was trying to put the ball in the holes rather than avoid them, which was hard too. I think it is a fantastic game however, and a good work out. When I had an opponent for a few minutes it certainly got harder. She stepped down, somebody took the ball off the table and yelled "NEXT!" to the people walking by and milling around. I figured my turn was over, so I left.

Hey Elorrum! Thanks for your feedback! Glad you got a chance to try it out! Actually the object IS to get the balls into the holes, which can be pretty hard when the other player is trying to keep you from doing so. I'm sorry you got "rushed" off the game. There were a few of us who played barker all week and at times perhaps got a bit overzealous in keeping the game action moving along. I was hoarse by Wednesday... lol. If you'd said you wanted to play some more I'm sure you could have.

By the way, the most heard statement after a game was "That's a workout!"
