New, from OC (originally SCLA)

Post by kINGJESTEr » Sat May 16, 2009 7:04 pm

So, I've loved electronica music for years and years, but never went to see anyone spin until I hooked up with some ex-coworkers of mine to see Armin Van Burreen in Hollywood. I loved it! I couldn't believe all the people were so cool and stuff. Was pretty much contrast to what I'm use to (top 40/pop rap clubs). Last year my friends went to Burning Man and loved it. I'm happy to say I'm going this year!

I've been spending the last few days on this forum just to make sure I at least have the minimal essentials. I'm super excited about the trip. I don't know totally what to expect, but I know it will be a great positive experience. See ya there:!:

Welcome. Don't expect anything...just take what comes...whatever...it WILL be an experience. Welcome.

Uh-oh. He's already wise to our snark.

And is probably crying his eyes out because jkishka hasn't said hello yet.

Thanks Dragon! I like this one:

Regardless of how much I've planned and prepared, I plan that something may happen that was completely outside my plans and that it will be just fine

Yeah, my friends keep telling me to just go and not expect what I think it will be like. "Everyone's experience is different."
