Seattle theme camp is recruiting

Post by Bold » Sun Jul 19, 2009 3:07 pm

We are an organized, low drama camp. We are hoping to get the same excellent placement we had last year just off the 3:00 keyhole, a block from the Esplanade, ranger station, medics, and Arctica. We are a tea house by day and a bar at night, which includes a professional karaoke system this year.

The Poisoned Palace seeks to build community. We have a relaxed inviting space that people revisit throughout the event. Our public shade structure is a 32’ parachute with lots of comfy papasan chairs and papasan couches. We have an activities court (four square, double dutch, tether ball, etc). We hold social activities throughout the week, including Haikooter (erotic haiku readings) and Foot Reflexology.

We are committed but easy-going. The camp is up and running before the gates open to the public so we can enjoy watching the city grow. Our camp dues cover food, water, shower, transportation of camp and personal gear, power, and more. We had a fantastic time last year creating something people really enjoyed, and we're looking for some cool folks to help us make it happen again. We're not looking for people to camp at The Poisoned Palace. We're looking for people to camp with The Poisoned Palace. Can you dig it?

Contact us through our website if you are interested. And if not, have a terrific Burn and come and come visit us on the Playa!

How much are the dues?

Post by Coastburner » Sun Jul 19, 2009 11:01 pm

I go up on the Green Tortoise every year but I grew up in Bellevue, outside of Seattle of course and I am a diehard Seahawk/Seattle fan. How much are the dues as I get in on Tuesday night with my beautiful girlfriend and we don't leave until Monday morning. I'd be happy to help set up if Tuesday night/wednesday morning works or pay dues to be a part of Seattle camp and help out as needed.

Hey! I'm an hour south of Seattle, next to Mt Rainier. Going to my second burn this year, let me know if there's anything in the next few weeks I can do to help!

We are in pretty good shape at the moment (famous last words), thank you for the offer though! Be sure to visit us when you're on the Playa.
