RV Camping - Post Burningman

Post by Wunder » Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:29 pm

Anyone have some great suggestions for campgrounds in the Sierras, off 395? We are looking for somewhere to spend a couple of days up in the big green trees on our way back to LA.

We'll be traveling in a 30' RV with a 10' trailer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Last year we stayed somewhere outside of Bridgeport or off the June Lake Loop. So... we are willing to travel a reasonable amount off 395 but not 2+ hrs.

If cutting across 80 over to 5 is an option, there are some great places in the trees up off of I-80 on the way to Sac. Boca, Stampede, Prosser, Donner (you can order pizza from your campsite at Donner and they will deliver it. LOL!) Tahoe (the week after Labor Day Monday should be pretty mellow up there), then down south of Sac, there's always the Delta. We've camped in some nice campgrounds around there.
