All Talk & No Action? (Read: I Actually Need A Ride From

Hello Fine Folk,

I am a first time burner, though long overdue, who has responded to at least 20 ride share/gas share/chill time share posts on various forums for Burning Man in a timely manner. Yet, I have received no responses. So I'm wondering, is all this ride love just talk and no action?

I am not a shady, creepy, or freaky kind of person (those adjectives being considered in the worst kind of way). I am a 22 year old Los Angeles native who needs a ride because I'm flying in from NY at the ass crack of dawn on the 29th and, as a consequence of this, am missing a ride with my partner-in-crime.

I do not drive (yes, I'm a native of Los Angeles who prefers to walk and car pool, implausible as it might seem), but I do work and am willing to throw down for gas. I have road trip qualities: I can be quiet, I can sing jazz, I can play the license plate game, and I can navigate. I can hold intelligent conversation, recite original poetry, hold unintelligent conversation and make sure the car doesn't reverse backwards in neutral when you get out to pump gas.

I'm in the Playasurfers camp, don't have an early pass (but am willing to linger outside of the gate by myself until allowed access), and would like to leave on the 29th or 30th. Also, I may already have a ride back, after I meet up with my partner-in-crime.

So all that considered, can ANYBODY give me a ride to Burning Man?!! Please. And Thank You.
