Intense Longing

Post by psynurse » Wed Sep 09, 2009 4:22 pm

I'm 30- this was my first burn which was prefaced by 12 years of wanting to go and never being able to make it.... 12 years is a long time to wait. Burning Man was everything I hoped it would be and more and I feel as though I'm not going to make it for another full year before I get to experience it all again. I just want to say thank you to everyone, for everything.

So glad that you were able to make it this year, and particularly impressed that you did so at the last minute. Great job not letting the preparation intimidate you.

as my friend chris put it: the first 3 months after BM are like years, after that it's minutes and seconds.

cant wait for 2010!

regionals are a great way to pass the time and are relatively dust free depending on if you have de-playasized your camping gear or not. check them out. I have had great experiences at them in colorado!

I would like to second the sentiments of thanks. I am 23, just home from my first burn, and i am so glad I went. It was the most amazing week of my life. I will be there in 2010...and the year after that...and the year after that...

I hope that my simple thanks can express in some small amount how grateful i am to each and every burner for my first trip home.
Finally moving to SF...can't WAIT!

My real response to my first burn this year can only be expressed with curse words.
My mind was blown away. I have had no precedent within my previous life experiences to prepare me for burning man.
If my life continues as I've been intending it to, I wont be able to go next year. But the year after at least I hope to make it.
Peace, love, intellectual stimulation, and good times!
