Yurts and how to make them

Post by Ugly Dougly » Thu Sep 17, 2009 3:31 pm

I've always loved yurts. Ah, it goes back to me boyhood days in Ulan Bataar with Uncle Genghis and his friends.

For me it's a coulda shoulda of 2009. Seeing all the variations in Yurthood on the playa, made me realize how cool a structure a yurt really is.

I totally agree. Yurts rock! I've helped assemble a few hexayurts on the playa and I've stayed in a couple of larger yurts at the Lupin Lodge and they are really cool structures indeed.

I love the sense of community that the video portrays. These people were burners long before we were.
