NYC/LA '10- New DrumNBass/Electro Metropolis Project Seeking

Post by katiemeridien » Sat Sep 26, 2009 1:14 pm

Hello Everyone - thanks for checking out our topic,

This year, native New Yorkers are bringing a 'Brooklyn Warehouse' to the Metropolis @ Burning Man 2010.

We want to build a 'Konkrete Jungle' warehouse and we are looking for volunteers, materials, crew, sound people, those who can donate for the decor and more.

Also, our crew will be 'guerilla' themed... =]

WE NEED YOUR HELP - We have never done this before and don't know the mechanics - of doing this the right and easy way.

We have started a NYC/LA forum on facebook - Burning Man 2010 which has gained 81 members in only three days.

*Please join our facebook forum, and we want to gather email addresses for those on both coasts to start planning it out asap*

This will be the junglist massive.

this will be our official discussion thread for our camp on eplaya until we come up with a final name for our camp :)

we're thinking of working out details for what types of stuctures we're going to be building, and could use some help on some basics:

*Water supply + how to keep the water cold

*Grey Waste disposal and bathroom recommendations,.

*Structure re-enforcement -> how secure do they need to be, (example, will a tent with some short stakes hold ground, will sandbags hold a makeshift shelter in place)

*how to go about picking a camp location,
*is there a way to get close to another group of friends running a different camp?

*how much gasoline is needed for the week to run a steady generator for music and some random appliances

*what is the policy on music? any restrictions? recommended quiet hours?

*when is the best time to buy tickets?
