Skate The Playa

Post by badgerbry » Thu Mar 25, 2004 6:26 pm

I have a dream: A skateable sculpture out on the open playa. Not just a ramp but a work of art that that transcends function.

Skateboarding is my bliss. Being without a board for the seven days of BM is the only thing that keeps it from being perfect. I know there are others like me out there.

Just imagine it...

Dude! That badger flash thingie you made is fucking awesome! I'm not a skater, but I just wanted to let you know that that thing made my day when I first saw it.

p.s. crossposting really clutters things up; I suggest you delete the other post. don't worry, people will still see this one.

I know you wanna build some cool skating structure, but...

My buddy brings a Longboard out to the playa. It has bigger wheels and rolls very smooth against the playa. It just kinda grooves along.
You can either push along with your feet,
Get pulled with a rope by an auto
Or pull a Back to the Future and skate behind an ArtCar, holding on to it
