this canadian site has some neat products. i own one of the contact juggling balls that lights up, and its a blast. (hell, ive stuck it in a mesh bag and swung it around as a makeshift poi at burningman :lol: )

get the all-light. the 27 colour modes justify the extra few bucks in EVERY way. my all changes modes more often then i change moods.

She can't plonk you--she has to read every single post. (Thank you AntiM. It's an ugly job, I'm so glad we have someone competent and intelligent to do it.) You're not connected with the site, and you are answering someone's question so "commerce" being called would be under a way stricter set of rules than we have at this point in time on the issue.

Now, this is what commerce looks like. http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic. ... 484#508484

Of course, when you click it, it may already be gone.

I improvised some glow poi for a friend by sticking a few dollar-store glowsticks into small water bottles with knotted cord threaded through holes in the caps. Adjust weight with gravel or sand.

I'd LIKE to experiment with the spiffy red LED bulbs I spotted at Pep Boys the other day...Like the new household LED bulbs they are encrusted with teensy little diodes that give multidirectional light, and probably (like most 12V automotive LED toys) will run from a regular 9V battery. Maybe add a lightweight wire cage to reduce bash damage to the (probably) slightly fragile bulb assemblies....

I've been really enjoying the Glow Poi from Home of Poi (website of the same name). They're soft enough that they're the set I use when learning new moves. I didn't like the handles/leashes though, so I replaced them with the amazing Flowleashes from Flowtoys (also website of the same name) who make all sorts of great glow toys. The reason I like the HoP glowpoi instead of the ones from Flowtoys is that they're a lot softer. I'm not very good and I hit myself a lot when learning new moves. :)

I ordered my glow poi from home of poi. I love them, and the website admin was very, very nice. I ordered the wrong tape, and they sent me a dvd version of the correct one I wanted, for free....

The price at home of poi may seem higher, but the quality of their products are well worth it. Ordered my poi LAST year, and I practice quite a bit. They're working just fine with the same batteries they came with a year later, and I'm bumped, dropped, fallen in the sand, and even landed these poi in fire--they're very durable. I love them.;

I'd always suggest people to order their poi from home of poi.

And I swear, I don't work for them... LOL I just love their stuff.
