I am ready to head out for my third Burning Man experience. Geezus H I cannot friggin wait!!!! Our city misses all of us and I cannot wait to make it better in any way I can.
The four of us that are heading there together are all veterans -- one with as much as 14 year's experience. Over the past few years we have been with quite a large group and had a theme camp each of the last eight years (the first several without me). We function well with large groups and are always willing to do more than our parts.
This year we four are looking for a camp to join that is different than our traditional Portland crowd. We will be heading down in an RV, full of food, liquor, and all things that make our collective experience great. I am posting this to ask for an invitation to a new camp to round our experiences. We are happy to participate and contribute in any way we can. Our talents include cooking, cleaning, manual labor, providing generator power, costume making, hair washing, ego stroking, and general resource gathering... just to name a few.
Among us are mothers, friends, gay partners, single folks, IT professionals, bankers, and expert pastry chefs. We are generally packing nice bourbon and Pabst Blue Ribbon along with wines from France, California and a multitude of worthy regions. Our mission is to share, be simple, and enjoy.
Last year we had quite a large space in our Sparkle Pony theme camp and ended up with a few squatters. All of them were fantastic. This included Zulu (sp?) from San Francisco and a snowplow truck driver from Truckee, CA who was the kindest of souls.
We have collectively hosted for Putting for Pabst (Lite) and the Sparkle Pony Corral as our theme camps. We have had a Yacht Rock Happy hour for many years and even a Red Dress Drag race in the past.
If you can extend and invite, please do. If you do, please let us know what we can do to help or make your experience better. I/we look forward to seeing our family in the city we all call home. In any case, best wishes on the playa twenty ten.

hey c!
I like your idea of expanding your horizons...you may be interested in our group...and we would love the wind break of an RV.....do you have a preference in neighborhood? what type of *burning man experience* is your group looking for?
We are a motley crew (50+) musicians, artists, teachers, event planners, business owners, bums, students, computer programmers, scientists, mothers, veterans, virgins, friends, family, gay partners (we are 100% gay friendly and about 30-40% gay), straight partners, single folks, not single folks, we have a couple of professional chefs too. and you like wine? most of us are from the wine country (and some of us make it)
We had a semi-large "theme camp bar"--listed-- last year....but it nearly killed us (financially...emtionally...etc.) so we are doing a "Hobo Camp" instead (in relation to the theme)......self-reliant renegade gypsy.....we are sort of like a "traveling circus".....fun unique music....trampolines......monkeys.....clowns. We do a Trick or Treat Tuesday (grab a pillowcase and a costume) to get to know the neighborhood and head out as a group to the larger events like Billion Bunny March, Whatver They Blow Up on friday, The Burn & Temple......we usually stay until tues to MOOP and provide a little 8:30 bar for DPW & bigger camps breaking down and we have a strange "caretaker" tendency to the portapotties we always camp behind.
hey....YOU don't happen to have an art car????????????????????
