checklist ideas for people flying in.

My wife and I are flying into Reno Monday and taking off on the next Mon.
Looking for advice on what we can/should bring with us on the plane and what we should get in reno and gift away when we leave. I don't suppose I could UPS my campstove and tent to the event? Thanks in advance. Sorry if I'm reposting/wrong thread, etc.

You can ship gear to Reno, and pick up upon arrival.

If you want to bring more gear than you can fit in your checked and carry-on baggage allowance, you should compare UPS or freight charges to have things shipped to your hotel in Reno to the airline's charge for just checking an additional bag.

Also, you might want to think twice about shipping a camp stove. Under no circumstances can you air ship (UPS, FedEx, or airline) fuels for the stove. And residues of fuels on the stove itself will probably cause your bag or parcel to be subject to extra searches (and potential refusal to ship the container it is in.)
