theme camps+virgin=?

Post by pelicanjake » Tue May 04, 2010 1:18 pm

Hello! I am a virgin and looking to do whatever needed to get the full experience my first year.

I am curious about these theme camps... can I join one my first year? Is it recommended? Any you would recommend?

I plan on doing anything and everything I can to have/give a wonderful experience this year!:)

Thanks for any and all advice

You can join one, if you can find one that will have and that is a good fit for you.
There is a list of last year's theme camps on the burningman.com website, they will have contact emails, so you could email the ones that interest you and see if they are looking for someone new. You can also go through this subforum and see if any appeal and you can start a dialogue and see what happens.
Plenty of people will say that your first year camping alone is fine and that will help you make friends with the neighbors more quickly. Anyway, don't get hung up on going any particular way; the playa has a way of serving up the experiences you didn't anticipate.
